Peasant dresses

I've made Elena a couple of peasant dresses over the past couple of months which have been great for the fall and into the winter. As she grows, and they get a bit short, she wears them with pants or leggings instead of tights. This one is with bird appliqué on some blue chambray cotton. I got the applique pattern here, on weefolk art, where they have AMAZING crafts and free printable applique and tutorials.

There are a couple of great tutorials out there. Here is one for a peasant top that you could just make a bit longer to make it into a dress. And here is another by little bean workshop.

These have been staples in the girlie's wardrobe:

And, even though she insists on wearing only tights now; she will, on occasion, wear jeans with these dresses she loves!

First time with ponytails!
