A friend of mine has three girls, 5, 3 and 1 year olds AND she works out of the house full time, I don't know how she does it! Can you imagine? She's an amazing Mama and I had wanted to make her girls these reversible pinafore dresses for quite some time now. Here is the finished product. These dresses /tops are so easy to make, especially for a novice like myself! I love that they could be worn with tights, with jeans or leggings, and in any season. My friend and I were debating about fabric, should I make the dresses with all different fabrics, all the same, one side different, one side the same etc. I decided that all the same would probably be the best bet, that way there would be less to argue over. I know that with my two - a boy and a girl, there is plenty to argue over with clothing not usually being one of them.
I love these snaps - found them at Michaels for $4 for 12, and had a 40% off coupon for the attacher tool thingy, I paid $7 and change for that. Got the idea to use them initially on Prudent Baby - the snappy toddler top
Here's my girl asking me, "are these for me, Mama?"
see, reversible...
