It amazes me what the world wide web has done to our lives. It truly has made the world smaller in some sense. I was asked by Margaret to knit up a couple of these strawberry hats for her 3 and 4 year old daughters after she read this post on my blog. She lives in Australia and I love following her blog, for the mere differences in our seasons (and many of her beautiful craft projects as well!). It's a wonderful peek into the other side of the world.
I sent the hats in these homemade gift sacks and my little guy was more than happy to help me make name tags for her girls.
After we sent the package, the kids and I looked for Australia on their wall map and read Possum Magic by Mem Fox, a sweet Australian tale.
Below are some photos from Margaret's blog, With or Without Nap. She was able to give these to her daughters for mother's day and so simply stated,
"because, after all, I wouldn't be a mother without them ~ it was nice to have a gift for them too!" - I Love that!
I was so pleased to see that they fit!! Just in time for their fall season! So glad everyone liked them, Margaret!
