Been Away

Enjoying some wonderful warm weather and lazy beach days

Great time together, good food and pure happiness. Every year to the same place, this time of year, a blessed break. These ever-changing kids keep us on our toes and give me perspective on this wonderful life. What a great break we had together, taking it slow, learning to swim, fish, inspecting the wildlife and learning everyday, all of us.

Ready for March, more knitting, and the cold weather we've come back to. 

A sunny place

Living in New England, we're blessed to have a sunny getaway to run to when the winter starts wearing on our nerves. We made it to Naples, Florida for our yearly week long winter break. I have great memories of this place and feel very blessed to be able to retreat here. It really helps to break up our llloooonnnngggg winter and fill our bodies and souls with some much needed sunshine. There is so much to do here, but most of the time, we do the same simple things.

Eat some great food

and of course, knit.

But most importantly, away from the bustle of our everyday life,

we spend our time unhurried, peaceful and together - just the way a vacation should be.....
